PITTSBURGH — A customer is suing Blair Trio Enterprises LLC, doing business as The Flats On Carson, and an employee, citing alleged negligent infliction of emotional distress and assault and battery.
Walter Anton Bernard filed a complaint in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, claiming the defendants assaulted him when he attempted to help another customer who was also allegedly being assaulted by the employee.
According to the complaint, Bernard attempted to break up the alleged fight between the employee and another customer on Nov. 12, 2017 but was punched in the face by the defendant. Bernard said he was left abandoned in an alley while he was bleeding from his mouth and was unsure of his location.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an amount in excess of the jurisdictional arbitration limit, plus interest and costs. He is represented by William Goodrich of Goodrich & Geist PC in Pittsburgh.
