MEDIA — A Chester couple is suing Brewer's Outlet, S&J Distributors Inc. and Sadguru Sai Inc., citing alleged recklessness and negligence.
Paul Lawson and Angela Burton filed a complaint July 16 in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County, alleging that the defendants erected a water pallet that posed a hazard.
According to the complaint, Paul Lawson was a customer at the defendants' store on July 2, 2017 when a water pallet he was leaning on allegedly crashed on top of him, resulting in a fractured humerus, a strain and sprain of the cervical and lumbar spine and other severe injuries. Angela Burton claims she suffered the loss of consortium as a result of her husband's injuries.
The plaintiffs seek an amount exceeding $50,000, exclusive of interest and costs, as well as punitive and delay damages. They are represented by Thomas Kenny & Ellen Burns of Kenny, Burns & McGill in Philadelphia.
