PITTSBURGH — A Munhall woman is suing a Pittsburgh golf club alleging that a lack of warning signage led to her falling and injuring herself while attending a wedding.
Judith Fonzi filed a complaint in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas against Fox Chapel Golf Club alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff was at the defendant's premises on July 21, 2018, to attend a wedding. She alleges she was walking down a flight of stairs to a raised, stage-like area. She alleges she continued to walk across this area and did not see the drop to the lower floor. She alleges she fell to the lower floor and was seriously injured.
The plaintiff alleges the step between the stage area and lower floor was not equipped with handrails, markings or warning signs.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by D. Aaron Rihn.
