Meadow View Machine alleges negligence of Alro Steel led to man's injuries

LANCASTER – A Leola man is suing a steel company alleging that its negligence resulted in injures to another man.

Isaac Nolt, doing business as Meadow View Machine, filed a complaint in the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas against Alro Steel Corp. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, a complaint was filed against the plaintiff by George and Diane McDuffie in February 2018 over personal injuries allegedly from a June 2017 incident. The McDuffies allege George McDuffie was struck by some rolled steel that came off of the plaintiff's skid loader and injured.

The suit states the rolled steel had been purchased from the defendant and the plaintiff alleges that the defendant was negligent through failing to ensure that the steel was loaded on in a safe way.

The plaintiff is seeking a declaration that the defendant is solely/directly liable for the McDuffies with him or over him, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Rolf E. Kroll and Jason P. McNicholl of Margolis Edelstein in Harrisburg.
