MEDIA – A Delaware woman is suing a Brookhaven restaurant, alleging the ceiling fell on her while she ate there.
The alleged incident occurred in August 2018 at Tom Jones Family Restaurant. Gloria Baillum says in her lawsuit, filed April 27 that she was sitting in a booth when the ceiling fell on her head.
She says the restaurant must have known of a leak in the ceiling because there was a bucket to catch water. By failing to fix the leak, Tom Jones ignored a dangerous condition, she says.
That bucket was part of the debris that fell on her, the lawsuit says. She suffered a concussion and other injuries, the lawsuit claims.
