PITTSBURGH - A former student sued the North Hills School District after she was injured walking in a grass lawn, according to documents filed Feb. 23 in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.

Plaintiff Kaylee Kleinsmith was walking across a grass lawn that joins the school with the North Hills High student parking lot in September 2019 when she allegedly stepped suddenly into an unseen hole in the lawn.

As a result, the plaintiff says she suffered injuries to the right ankle including a sprain, edema and deep venous thrombosis.

Kleinsmith is suing the school for one count of negligence for her injuries and mental suffering and demands a jury trial.

Kleinsmith is represented by Goodrich and Associates PC of Pittsburgh.
