Astra Foods worker slaps the grocer with lawsuit after an employee allegedly throws meat at him

MEDIA - A personal injury complaint filed on March 31 in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas by a Chester man accuses an Aston grocer of creating an unsafe work environment. 

The suit against grocer Astra Foods Inc. and staffing agency ACCU Staffing, for which plaintiff Dennis Holloway worked as an independent contractor. 

Holloway was contracted to operate machinery at Astra Foods; on April 3, 2019, Holloway says he was working at the store at 1 McDonald Blvd. when an Astra Food employee carelessly threw a package of frozen meat at him, injuring Holloway's left hand. 

The plaintiff wants at least $50,000 from the store for its alleged negligence. 

Holloway is represented by the Law Office of Michael T. Malarick of Boothwyn.
