MEDIA - A Swarthmore woman sued Delaware County, the Borough of Lansdowne and the Lansdowne Fire Company after she allegedly tripped and fell on unsafe sidewalks in front of the fire department building.

According to the complaint filed in April in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, plaintiff Diane Ridley was at the fire department building at 26 N. Highland Ave. in Lansdowne on May 8, 2019.

Ridley says the sidewalk/driveway apron was dangerous to pedestrians including herself after she tripped on a hole or depression while walking.

The plaintiff's injuries included broken teeth, knee sprain and a shoulder tendon partial tear.

Ridley is requesting a judgement against the defendants of at least $50,000. She is represented by Dashevsky, Horwitz, Kuhn, Novello and Shorr PC.
