State Police sued over collision with trooper

State Court

MEDIA - A Glen Mills man sued the Pennsylvania State Police and PSP Trooper Anthony Lannutti in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas after the officer allegedly crashed with the couple while trying to pass on a road.

According to the April 12 complaint, plaintiff William Nolan was traveling northbound on Cheyney Rd. in the Concord Township on Oct.16, 2020. Officer Lannutti was traveling southbound on the same road in his police vehicle.

Nolan says that Lannutti attempted to pass a vehicle near the intersection with Trimble Rd. and collided with Nolan, causing severe front-end damage to his vehicle and personal injuries including spinal injuries, rib fractures and others.

The defendants are charged with negligence and consortium, and the plaintiff requests at least $100K in restitution. He is represented by Buckley, Brion, McGuire and Morris LLP.
