LANCASTER — A woman who allegedly suffered lacerations and other injuries after the glass shower door in her hotel room shattered into pieces is claiming premises liability.

Harriet Isecke filed a complaint June 24 in the Court of Common Pleas of Lancaster County against Springwood Hospitality LLC, Wohlsen Construction, The Wilbur Lititz Tapestry Collection By Hilton and Continental Glass Sales & Investment Corp., alleging premises liability.

Isecke alleges in her complaint that she was a guest at The Wilbur Lititz Tapestry Collection by Hilton on North Broad Street in Lititz on Oct. 20, 2019. She claims that while attempting to take a shower in her room and closed the glass shower door, the door shattered into pieces and flew into her as well as all around the bathroom.

Isecke alleges she suffered lacerations to her ankle, foot, toes and injuries to her lower extremity. She claims the defendants' negligent for failing to provide safe rooms or inspect the hotel premises and for failing to properly install the glass shower door. Isecke also claims the defendants failed to warn of the dangerous condition caused by the defective shower door.

Isecke seeks monetary relief of more than $50,000 and all other just relief. She is represented by Chad Rankin of Rankin & Gregory LLC in Lancaster.
