PHILADELPHIA — A golfer who suffered injuries when her golf cart overturned at a golf club in Malvern is claiming the course was negligently designed and maintained.

Virginia Ferrari filed a complaint Nov. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Chester Valley Golf Club alleging negligence.

According to her complaint, Ferrari was playing in a golf tournament at the Chester Valley Golf Club on April 27, 2021. She alleges that as she drove her golf cart onto a fairway, the cart suddenly overturned and caused her to suffer injuries.

Specifically, Ferrari claims she suffered a ligament tear and closed fracture of her left tibia, as well as injuries and scarring to her knee. Ferrari alleges Chester Valley Golf Club negligently designed and maintained the golf course and alleges they failed to post signage warning of the danger.

Ferrari seeks monetary relief of more than $75,000, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Michael Ferrara, Jr., of the Ferrara Law Firm in Cherry Hill.
