A recent court filing has brought to light a serious personal injury claim involving allegations of negligence. Aurora Vallelunga filed a complaint against Charles J. Stark in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County on May 24, 2024.

According to the complaint, Vallelunga alleges that she suffered severe injuries due to unsafe conditions at a property managed by Stark. The incident occurred on November 13, 2022, when Vallelunga was lawfully present as a business invitee on the premises located at 2016 Gregory Street, Pittsburgh, PA. She claims that while navigating an interior staircase, she slipped and fell due to defective and misshapen steps. The fall resulted in significant injuries including a torn meniscus in her left knee, which required surgery and ongoing medical treatment.

Vallelunga's complaint outlines several accusations against Stark. She asserts that he failed to maintain the property adequately, allowing hazardous conditions to persist. Specifically, the lawsuit states that Stark neglected his duty to inspect, repair, and ensure the safety of the premises for patrons and business invitees like Vallelunga. "Defendant knew and/or should have known of the said dangerous, insecure and therefore defective conditions," reads one part of the complaint.

The plaintiff is seeking various forms of relief from the court. These include compensation for medical expenses already incurred and those anticipated in the future due to her injuries. Additionally, Vallelunga is asking for damages related to physical pain, mental anguish, loss of life's pleasures, and potential loss of earnings capacity resulting from her injuries.

The case has been assigned Case ID No.: [Case ID not provided] in the Civil Division of Allegheny County's Court of Common Pleas. Representing Aurora Vallelunga is attorney Shaheen Z. Wallace from The Law Office of Shaheen Wallace Esq., LLC.
