Reading and police officials deny violating Christian protester's civil rights in Pride March arrest

ALLENTOWN – Counsel for the City of Reading, its Chief of Police and two of its officers have denied allegations for civil rights violations, defamation and malicious prosecution, lodged by an evangelical Christian, who protested the City’s first-ever Pride March & Rally and was then arrested for disorderly conduct.

PHILADELPHIA – The parents of a University of Pennsylvania student who died last year after consuming what they say was a highly caffeinated lemonade from Panera Bread Company have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the restaurant chain and alleged that no warning was provided as to the drink’s high caffeine amount.
