Nursing home tries for second time to eliminate punitive damages from wrongful death lawsuit

SCRANTON – An East Stroudsburg nursing home has motioned for partial summary judgment in a wrongful death lawsuit filed against it, representing its second attempt to avoid paying punitive damages in the case.

Settlement reached by expert witness who wouldn't be videotaped, allegedly called judge 'some asshole'

PHILADELPHIA – A prolific expert witness on construction matters has settled his appeal of a judge's order that required him to pay more than $22,000 for refusing to be videotaped during a deposition and after allegedly calling the judge an "asshole."
