PITTSBURGH — A couple's lawsuit against Thomas Teets and Cellurale Landscaping & Maintenance Contracting Inc., a motorist and his employer, alleges negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

Karrie Gregor and John Gregor filed a complaint on June 28, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that Teets failed to properly control his vehicle, causing it to hit the plaintiffs' vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on July 7, 2014, the Gregors sustained injuries when a trailer that the defendant was towing struck their vehicle. The plaintiffs holds the defendants responsible because Teets allegedly failed to properly inspect the trailer or exercise proper care, allowing the trailer to dislodge and hit the plaintiffs' vehicle.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $75,000 plus interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by John W. McTiernan of Caroselli Beachler McTiernan & Coleman LLC in Pittsburgh.
