PHILADELPHIA — A couple's lawsuit against Kenneth E. Campbell and Denise J. Martin, property owners, cites alleged failure to warn, insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries and negligence.
Cassandra Valvo and Daniel Valvo filed a complaint on July 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they failed to keep the facilities of their property safe.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 20, Cassandra Valvo sustained serious physical injuries when she fell due to the stone stairway she was using falling apart and crumbling. The plaintiffs holds Kenneth E. Campbell and Denise J. Martin responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to inspect the condition of their stairway to make sure that it was still usable.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $75,000 plus interest, delay damages and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by John A. Mattiacci Jr. and Gabriel Z. Levin of Levin & Zeiger in Philadelphia.
