HARRISBURG, Pa. -- A Pennsylvania company is suing two former employees and their Louisiana corporation over alleged patent infringement.
Pennsylvania-based Autotrakk LLC filed a complaint on Sept. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Automotive Leasing Specialists Inc. t/a Ambassador Dealer Funding, Michael C. Caffrey and George Stauffer, alleging the Louisiana defendants infringed on the plaintiff's patent.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges it suffered damages to its business from having its patented system for leasing vehicles to consumers with poor credit used by its competitor.
The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly misappropriated confidential information and the plaintiff's trade secrets.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, an injunction against the defendants, punitive damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants.
