PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh-based Gus's Cafe LLC, t/d/b/a Gus's Cafe, is being sued by Allegheny County over an alleged failure to pay file and remit taxes.
Allegheny County filed a complaint on Nov. 22 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against Gus's Cafe LLC, t/d/b/a Gus's Cafe, alleging that the defendant Pennsylvania company failed to remit tax returns to the plaintiff for the months of June through September.
According to the complaint, Allegheny County alleges that it suffered monetary damages. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to file returns and remit taxes despite several attempts at notification by the plaintiff.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $35,000 plus any additional tax, penalty, interest, cost of collection, and any further relief this court grants. The county is represented by Kate M. Diersen of Goehring Rutter & Boehm in Pittsburgh.
