Employee blames Norfolk Southern Corporation for fall injuries

HARRISBURG — An employee is suing Norfolk Southern Corporation, his employer, citing alleged hostile work environment, insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries, liability, and negligence.

Eric Spero filed a complaint on Jan. 6, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Norfolk Southern Corporation, alleging that the employer failed to provide a reasonably safe workplace to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 24, 2015, he sustained physical injuries including an ankle injury when he fell while disembarking from a train. The plaintiff holds Norfolk Southern Corporation responsible because the defendant allegedly allowed a hazardous condition and failed to provide adequate warning.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $150,000, court costs, interest and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Anthony M. DiGiulio of Barish Rosenthal in Philadelphia.
