Employee blames Amtrak for injuries

Slip01

PHILADELPHIA — An employee is suing National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak), alleging negligence, liability and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

David Wilson filed a complaint on Feb. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendant, alleging that the employer failed to properly maintain the floor of its premises.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 13, 2014, he sustained physical injuries when he slipped while walking out of a bathroom. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide the plaintiff a safe place to work free of any hazards.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $75,000. He is represented by James M. Duckworth of Keller & Goggin, P.C. in Philadelphia.
