Former drug treatment center worker alleges retaliation

Wrongful term 07

PHILADELPHIA — A former employee of a drug and alcohol treatment facility is suing the nonprofit center, alleging retaliation and wrongful termination.

Jon Ann Cromyak filed a complaint on June 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against defendants Conewago Pottsville, Firetree Ltd and Charles Fritz, alleging that they terminated the plaintiff's employment in retaliation for her whistleblowing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was hurt financially from being terminated from work for complaining about another employee. The plaintiff holds Conewago Pottsville, Firetree Ltd and Fritz responsible because the defendants allegedly terminated the plaintiff's employment for complaining about a co-worker not performing his job and leaving others to do his work for him.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $75,000 plus court costs, punitive damages and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Stanley J. Brassington of Stanley J. Brassington Esq. in Schuylkill Haven.
