PHILADELPHIA – An Easton man claims that his former employer owes unpaid overtime wages.
Adam Elsayed filed a complaint on behalf of himself and all other similarly situated employees on Aug. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc. citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed by the defendant from November 2015 to September 2016 and alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours a week but was not paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay overtime wages at a rate of time-and-one-half to the plaintiff.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all unpaid wages, liquidated damages, overtime compensation, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Jason Conway of Conway Legal LLC in Philadelphia.
