D.J. Hannon & Sons Inc. alleged to owe more than $3,000 in contributions

ERIE – A New Castle employer is alleged to have failed to make contributions to labor union funds.

Martin O'Toole and Regis Claus, trustees on behalf of Plumbers Local Union No. 27 Combined Funds, filed a complaint on Aug. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against D.J. Hannon & Sons Inc. alleging violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that the defendant has failed to make payments to the plaintiff funds from May to October 2014. They allege the defendant owes a total delinquency of $3.635.88.

The plaintiffs seek to enjoin the defendant, order the defendant to make immediate payment of all monies due, audit costs, money judgment in the sum of $4,485.88, plus liquidated damages, attorneys' fees of 20 percent of the total amount due, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Neil J. Gregorio and Jeffrey J. Leech of Tucker Arensberg, P.C. in Pittsburgh.
