PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia business is alleged to owe more than $1 million to several labor union funds.
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union No. 98 Health & Welfare Fund, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union No. 98 Sound & Communication Health & Welfare Fund, et al. filed a complaint on Nov. 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Larry C. McCrae Inc. and Larry C. McCrae citing the Employee Retirement Income Security Act and the Labor Management Relations Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that an audit of the defendants' payroll for the period of January 2011 to July 2015. They allege they discovered $1.2 million in underreported principal contributions for that period.
The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendants for the portion of the principal delinquency due to the plaintiff funds, interest, liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants.
