Royal Water Damage Restoration Inc. alleged to owe former laborers unpaid wages

PHILADELPHIA – Two former employees of a Willow Grove water damage repair company allege they are owed unpaid overtime wages.

Amelio Cruz and Miguel Figueroa filed a complaint on behalf of themselves and all others similarly situated on Nov. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Royal Water Damage Restoration Inc. citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they worked as laborers for the defendant and worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime wages. 

The plaintiffs holds Royal Water Damage Restoration Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the plaintiffs at a rate of time-and-one-half of their regular wage rate for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiffs seek unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Kevin L. Lovitz of Lovitz Law Firm in Philadelphia and Philip Bohrer and Scott E. Brady of Bohrer Brady LLC in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
