Couple files suit against Greenbriar Marketing & Management Inc. over failure to build home

ALLENTOWN – A New Jersey couple claims an Allentown company failed to manufacture or deliver a modular home per their agreement.

Jay Griscom and Juanita Griscom filed a complaint on Dec. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Greenbriar Marketing & Management Inc. and Lawrence Higgins alleging breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs entered into a contract with Greenbriar in December 2016 for the construction of a modular home with a delivery date of March 2017. The plaintiffs later terminated the contract in May after several delays in construction.

The plaintiffs holds Greenbriar Marketing & Management Inc. and Higgins responsible because the defendants allegedly misrepresented the home could be constructed by March.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $75,000 plus interest, court costs, treble damages, statutory damages, compensatory damages, punitive damages and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Matthew B. Weisberg of Weisberg Law in Philadelphia and Gary Schafkopf of Schafkopf Law LLC in Bala Cynwyd.
