Woman sues neighbor for negligence after dog attack

The lawsuit, dated May 10, 2024, involves allegations of negligence and premises liability after an incident involving Tobin's dog. According to the complaint filed by attorney Joel J. Kofsky on behalf of Susan Brochet, the incident occurred on July 6, 2022. 

Ms. Brochet was walking near Stephan Tobin's property when his dog escaped around her properties fence and knocked her down, causing severe injuries. The damages include injuries to her neck, back, shoulders, chest, body, head, knees, and extremities.

Ms. Brochet has filed a lawsuit against Defendant Mr. Tobin in the Court of Common Pleas, Delaware County.

The plaintiff is seeking compensatory damages exceeding $50,000 for medical expenses, pain and suffering, loss of earnings capacity, and other related costs. She alleges that Tobin failed to properly restrain and supervise his dog and violated local ordinances.
