PITTSBURGH — A real estate rehabilitation company is suing Lloyd's of London over the insurers refusal to pay a claim for more than $6 million in vandalism done to their commericial building in Wilkinsburg.
The Delaware County Court of Common Pleas reported the following activities in the suit brought by Christine Hagendorf and Katrin Gordon against David Debrouex and Michelle Paul on Oct. 31.
PHILADELPHIA – A Brookhaven man employed by Chester Water Authority alleges he lost an eye because of a malfunctioning fire hydrant and is suing the hydrant's manufacturers.
PITTSBURGH – A lawsuit filed by Carlson Lynch against one of its former partners for improper use of trade secrets in the filing of Americans with Disabilities Act-related litigation has been settled.
PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia law firm who sued the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and alleged it illegally withheld information from families and loved ones of crash victims in violation of the Freedom of Information Act, has seen two of its claims dismissed for sovereign immunity and the case suspended.

PITTSBURGH – Whether a class action lawsuit brought against Champion Petfoods for alleged false and misleading marketing of its dry dog food products can move forward is being reviewed by a Pennsylvania federal judge after Champion filed a motion to dismiss the case.
