HARRISBURG – The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania has unanimously ruled that venue standards for defamation established more than half a century ago continue to hold up, despite the quantum leaps of technological change which have taken place during that time.

PITTSBURGH -- Emily and Douglas Vida filed a complaint in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against Giant Eagle, Inc. for negligence.According to the complaint, in April 2021, Emily Vida filled a prescription at Giant Eagle's Shaler pharmacy for 24-hour Depakote that releases over a 24-hour period.
